Job Description:

Position Overview

  • Qualified BI Analysts with strong analytical and technical expertise to drive enterprise reporting, BI modernization, operational analytics, and data‑driven decision‑intelligence insights.
  • The BI Analyst will design, develop, and operationalize advanced analytics solutions that support content operations, audience insights, digital distribution, and enterprise decision‑making within the Television and Entertainment domain.
  • The role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and hands‑on experience working with large‑scale media datasets, BI platforms, and modern data engineering frameworks.
  • The ideal candidate brings a blend of BI architecture, machine learning, and data engineering experience, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, production‑ready analytics solutions.

 

Detailed Job Duties:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications for BI, data engineering and analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, maintain dashboards, reports and data models using Looker, Tableau and Power BI.
  • Operationalize the enterprise BI-layer to automate KPI computation, enable cross‑platform data sharing across Azure, AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake, and support real‑time CXO dashboards and operational insights.
  • Build data pipelines and ETL workflows using AWS Data Pipeline, Airflow, Apache Spark, and Scala.
  • Develop predictive analytics and machine learning models using Python, PySpark, Teradata Aster, and AI/ML frameworks within distributed computing environments.
  • Integrate Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities – including LLM integration and vector search for processing structured and unstructured data.
  • Prepare technical documentation, system design specifications and related material.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, global engineering teams, and IT leadership to support data‑driven decision making.
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to BI architecture, data engineering frameworks, and analytics capabilities.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Education: The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a combination of education and experience equating to the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.

 

Relevant Experience: The position requires four (4) years of progressive experience in the TV and Entertainment industry, with a strong emphasis on developing Business Intelligence (BI) applications. The role further requires below listed specialized technical skills, expertise in BI architecture, machine learning (ML), data lake environments, data modeling, and ETL design.

 

Specialized Technical Skills:

  • BI Tools: Looker, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI
  • ETL & Data Automations: AWS Data Pipeline, Snowflake/Airflow (ETL), Apache Spark, Jenkins
  • Data Engineering: Data modeling, ETL design
  • Programming: Python, PySpark, Teradata Aster
  • Cloud/ Data Lake: Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Data bricks
